ALONE TOGETHER celebrates the life-long collaboration of pioneering tap dance artists Tamangoh and Roxane Butterfly. Direct heirs of the Original Hoofers (be-bop tap dance legends), the artistic complicity of these exceptional rhythmicians, goes all the way back to the 90ies, on the vibrant underground New-York music scene then bathed with Acid Jazz and the upspringing World-Music trend. From avant-garde downtown clubs, to prestigious international jazz festivals, their itinerary has never ceased to cross, and their rhythms to echo each other .
Very rare representatives of their discipline on european soil, they are happy to meet again in Paris to reflect on their mutual unconventional path so distinct and yet similar, as in the song: “Alone Together”.
