SUNDAY TAP DANCE LAB
For the most novices and amateurs, a course of global comprehension of the tap dance language will take place from 4-5pm.
For intermediate-advanced students, a technical course will be offered from 5-6pm, followed by a repertoire and composition course between 6pm and 7pm, _which is particularly recommended for the more advanced and professional.
In her classes, Roxane Butterfly draws on the knowledge that has been transmitted to her by her masters, the Original Hoofers, and especially her mentor Jimmy Slyde, from whom she takes her stage name. The purpose of these workshops is to encourage students to discover their own creative tools while instilling in them the technical and musical bases of tap dance, in the black American historical perspective of this language.
You can also ask to attend the class as an observer.
Rockland studios are located at 133 rue Championnet (Metro Jules Joffrin on line 12 or Guy Moquet on line 13).
