For its 6th edition, the Summer Tap Intensive originally launched at Roxane Butterfly’s notorious Jimmy Slyde Institute (in Barcelona), will highlight an international roster of tap-dance leading teachers and performers. All levels will be taught for 5 days of intense training, focusing on jazz and contemporary tap forms. Roxane Butterfly will also lead a residency for tap-professionals to be performed at the end of the workshop.
Originally held in Barcelona at the illustrious Jimmy Slyde Institute, Roxane Butterfly’s unique Tap-dance Intensives have moved to Paris 6 years ago, when the french-american choreographer chose the french capital as her new ground of actions. These annual rendez-vous have attracted aspiring tap dance artists from all corners of the world, providing a deep insight on tap-dance culture, accurate knowldedge on the art form history, healthy technique, craftful choreographies, and accessible musicality training. This year, thanks to the generous support of Changing Times Tap Initiatives, Roxane is extremely thrilled to welcome three of her former workshops participants into the teaching team.
