Tap Dance Intensive in central Paris with Roxane Butterfly !

Too many weeks without dancing because of confinement! Let’s catch up! International underground-tap dance icon Roxane Butterfly, shares her experience alongside her New York masters “The Original Hoofers”, with her students. With a focus on musicality, classes will take you on a rhythmical journey, rich in traditions and innovations. Come and join her in Paris for a themed tap dance session with two hours morning practice for 4 days + 1 field-trip

Warm up with hoofing rudiments (jazz tap foundation). Integrating space to sound. Glimpse of the masters. Connecting rhythms. Constructing improvisation. FUN!

Roxane taught in major universities in America and has been a prominent teacher at Broadway Dance Center and Steps On Broadway for several decades. She taught and lectured around the globe at many dance, music and arts festivals, and ran the Jimmy Slyde Institute in Barcelona which she founded in 2011.

Aside from her well sought after pedagogy, Roxane has been an influential choreographer who has toured her original work across the globe. Multi-Award artist she currently resides in France where she keeps on collaborating with a number of musicians, artists and therapists while producing her multi-cultural event TAPmatazz and adaptating her methodology to children with learning disabilities with her company SmARTS.
